In the aftermath of signing several executive orders, Trump boasted about assisting Michigan Governor Gretchen Whitmer, whom he mistakenly referred to as Kristi Whitmer, with a "huge favor" concerning the "China carp." According to Trump, these invasive fish had overrun the Great Lakes.

In addition, I think Trump's handlers may be looking at the threats of, or actual use of, the Guard and/or regular service as a method of provoking a violent response in order to convince him to impose martial law ahead of the mid-terms.

The Americans have a large number of people sworn to defend the democratic rights of American citizens. Taking that is straight up Causus Belli.
Obviously places like Hungary and Turkey have votes that don't entirely represent the populations but the people aren't motivated to stand for their rights in the same manner that we should. The question is what excuse the Americans will be presented with to disguise the fact their rights are being taken.

I am sure that Presidente Dumbfuckio's new excretive order banning the burning of the American flag was well-researched.  One of the appropriate ways to dispose of a retired flag is in a ceremony in which it is burned.  But, what do I know?

A man was arrested for setting fire to an American flag in a federal park outside the White House on Monday, just hours after President Trump signed an executive order seeking to crack down on those who burn the flag.

The U.S. Secret Service told The Hill they detained a person at approximately 6:15 p.m. Monday in Lafayette Park “for igniting an object” and turned the person over to the U.S. Park Police, which has jurisdiction.

The Park Police said it arrested one person in the park at about 6:30 p.m., citing a violation of 36 CFR 2.13(a)(1), which prohibits fire in public parks, except in designated areas.

The Park Police declined to identify the person, saying such information isn’t publicly available until charges are formalized through court.

That seems like an illegal burning, full stop, rather than a flag burning. Wouldn’t surprise me if 36 CFR 2.13(a)(1) was used an an excuse, though. I can easily imagine the cops frantically thumbing through the rule book, looking a reason to arrest this commie pinko libtard agitator.

I don’t imagine the optics will be good - arresting a 20-year combat veteran who was defending the First Amendment.
