I don’t really see how the organizers can stop the broadcasters from showing the reactions of the crowd. If Trump gets booed and pelted with goat droppings, that’s newsworthy.

The broadcasters have agreements with the organizers and the venue. There may be restrictive clauses in one of those. Additionally, they have agreements with advertisers, and the same may apply.

I understand that, but this seems more like an ad hoc request than part of an actual agreement.
If it turns out I’m wrong, I promise not to get all butthurt about it .

The stories break two ways on X. Either Trump arrived to a standing ovation or he was mercilessly booed. Unfortunately for the former, the stadium was basically empty when Trump arrived, and there are too many videos of him being booed to deny.

...and I will be changing the name of this arena to the Great Trump Tennis Hall. I don't know why anyone would name it after a non-white guy nobody ever heard of.
