Greg Bovino is a liar, according to the testimony provided to federal district court in Illinois, by Greg Bovino - and backed up by footage from those few officers following federal court orders and basic law enforcement protocol...as well as a mountain of public footage. ICE had not stopped gassing and detaining journalists reporting on ICE gassing and detaining journalists. ICE had decided a kids parade needed or was an appropriate target for a riot busting operation. They continued to operate without active body cams or identifying uniform. All in violation of prior orders - plural. In order to explain this, Greg Bovino (and a number of officers whose names appear on the previous incident reports....assuming they actually did sign themselves.....) invented violent perpetrators, testicle injuries, firecrackers in the crowd, and rocks hitting heads. To give the reader context without infuriating myself over every detail....the closest they got to anything true was the firecracker bit. On account of how they had thrown flashbangs into a crowd.....and that's just perfectly on brand for witless and scared shitless.

Trump is asking the Supreme Court to issue an administrative stay of the lower court and appeals court's rulings, effectively ordering full funding of SNAP.  The administration is arguing that if they fully fund SNAP, then they won't be able to fund WIC.  But it appears this is false and there is plenty to fund both.  Trump apparently is aiming for the Humanitarian of the Year award.

Supreme Court Justice Ketanji Brown Jackson temporarily halted an order requiring the Trump administration make full Supplemental Nutritional Assistance Program (SNAP) November payments by Friday.

Jackson’s ruling pauses some of the payments until the U.S. Court of Appeals for the First Circuit can decide the administration’s motion to block the order pending its appeal.

It does not reflect a ruling on the underlying legal merits of the case, but it provides a temporary reprieve to the Trump administration, which went to the Supreme Court earlier Friday evening.

“Given the First Circuit’s representations, an administrative stay is required to facilitate the First Circuit’s expeditious resolution of the pending stay motion,” Jackson wrote.

It's an administrative stay, but there's scant difference between that and ruling against the injunction. I don't know what the appeals court's timeline is, but it may mean that many won't get SNAP this month.

Weird. It looks like I've received my full SNAP allotment for November, even though it's not due until the 13th. Transactions aren't showing, but memory of my prior balance is consistent with full benefits.

FWiW full SNAP allotments have been paid out to at least some recipients in Oregon.
