[Serious] Books That Shatter Faith: When Fiction Becomes Blasphemy
#21
RE: Books That Shatter Faith: When Fiction Becomes Blasphemy
Welcome.

I tend not to read fiction looking for deeper meaning. If something crops up it's fine but is now my reason for choosing fiction. I am more a memoir (not of famous people) reader.

Horror for me is usually a no though I like a good psychological thriller now and then.

hi, have you read any of this?

No, I haven't. I prefer reading history and science to religious/atheist topics.

Thank you, everyone seems nice, Yes Insane Entities, is pretty twisted, I guess you will love it

Got it on my Kindle now.
I'm not anti-Christian. I'm anti-stupid.

I got that, but for me fiction just remove limitations when everything becomes possible, not all of them offer deeper meaning but sometimes, they do marvelous job.

The bible was enough to shatter, it full of disturbing fiction.
Being told you're delusional does not necessarily mean you're mental.

They believe the deceivers' translation of it over the real meaning and gore within.

You might enjoy Small Gods by Terry Pratchett. It's pretty light-hearted and pokes fun at the absurdly dogmatic types.

Any Pratchett is worth reading!

Never underestimate the power of very stupid people in large groups
