Guess that means he saves 10% of his income.

Does he still get his own planet when he dies? Or does that get tossed out with him?
"Well, evolution is a theory. It is also a fact. And facts and theories are different things, not rungs in a hierarchy of increasing certainty. Facts are the world's data. Theories are structures of ideas that explain and interpret facts. Facts don't go away when scientists debate rival theories to explain them. Einstein's theory of gravitation replaced Newton's in this century, but apples didn't suspend themselves in midair, pending the outcome. And humans evolved from ape- like ancestors whether they did so by Darwin's proposed mechanism or by some other yet to be discovered."

Yup. Ex'ed for advocating an open approach to investigating the LDS church's history and for making public the many doubts of believers and why the church troubles them.

Meanwhile, here's a list of the people who have NOT been ex'ed:

Quote:Jodi Arias killed her former boyfriend Travis Alexander on June 4, 2008. He was killed at his home in Mesa, Arizona. He had been shot in the face and stabbed some 27 times, his throat slit from ear to ear...

Jason Derek Brown shot an armored car driver five times in the head in 2004. He then stole $54,000. He is still one of America’s Most Wanted...

Mark Hacking reported his wife missing on 19 Jul 2004. Her body was found three months later (01 Oct 2004) in a Salt Lake landfill. His trial happened on 18 Apr 2005...

A 63-year-old suspect/Davis County man wanted for an alleged scheme that took tens of millions has his set for an initial court hearing in July in Salt Lake City used the cachet of two Utah institutions — the LDS Church and the Boy Scouts of America — to bilk his victims...

Gary Sheets was acquitted on 45 counts of fraud because “he was just a poor manager” and lost the $23 million due to poor investments...

Allen and Wendell Jacobson reported by Federal Agents to be the single largest fraud ever in the state of Utah. Wendell was excommunicated prior to the investigation. Allen was not excommunicated ever. Wendell oversaw excommunications of members for supporting the ERA back in the 70’s.

Quentin L. Cook, sued for civil fraud, made an apostle shortly later. Faithful members created websites to point out the issues...

Paul H. Dunn lied to members for personal profit..

Richard Roswell Lyman committed adultery while an apostle, was excommunicated, and then had all of his blessings restored later.

Dehlin should count himself lucky to be kicked out of that club.

RE: Damned Mormons
I've been tempted to dress as jesus, walk into a Mormon service, and spout the Jim Morrisionism: "When I was back in seminary school somebody put forth the proposition that you can petition the lord with prayer, that you can - petition the lord - with prayer! That you can petition the lord with prayer. YOU CANNOT PETTITION THE LORD WITH PRAYER!" Then I would add my own bit of chicanery and add something like this: "I haven't listened to dumb fucks for 2000 years, what makes me think I'd listen to you now. It's obvious that your magic underwear has cut off the blood flow to your brains. Oh, do you have directions to the catholic church? "

Is he able, but not willing? Then he is malevolent.
Is he both able and willing? Then whence cometh evil?
Is he neither able nor willing? Then why call him God?”

The granting of a pardon is an imputation of guilt, and the acceptance a confession of it.

Those self-serious pricks. Do I have to wear a pocket-protector too?

On a sidebar, it took my wife seven years to excommunicate herself from the cult-of-microfiche. They don't take kindly to members wanting to leave the fold, and will install countless hurdles to prevent it from happening. Luckily for my wife, she's mentally tougher than the hierarchy in thou holiest city of the western hemisphere.

The higher-ups know - in fact, there's good reason to think that the 12 apostles are all aware that the LDS church is not the one true church with the restored gospel.

It's the sheeple that don't know, and are actively kept in the dark or encouraged not to investigate too deeply.

"Doubt your doubts before you doubt your testimony" is a common Mormon catchphrase.
