What exactly does this particular bit of idiocy have to do with Mormonism? The LDS leadership is pro-vaccination. http://www.ldsliving.com/Church-Leaders-...on/s/78000
If there is a god, I want to believe that there is a god. If there is not a god, I want to believe that there is no god.
I don't know. I didn't write the story. Presumably it meant something to them.
Well, there's this from old Horny Joe Smith:
“I preached to a large congregation at the stand, on the science and practice of medicine, desiring to persuade the Saints to trust in God when sick, and not in an arm of flesh, and live by faith and not by medicine, or poison; and when they were sick, and had called for the Elders to pray for them, and they were not healed, to use herbs and mild food.” An interesting thing about LDS is with so much folderol committed to paper since God commanded them to be record keeping people, LDS is (or has been) on every side of every issue. Funny way to run a 'religion', ain't it ?? The granting of a pardon is an imputation of guilt, and the acceptance a confession of it.
I also note that Joe's statement above may or may not represent his personal beliefs, he wasn't big on following his own pronouncements.
The granting of a pardon is an imputation of guilt, and the acceptance a confession of it.

If they said they did it for religious reasons, can you imagine the reporter failing to add that little detail? How about a damned alternative medicine freaks thread?

Feel free to start one. Sounds like a good topic.

members of the Navajo Nation have sued The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, alleging the church placed Native American children in Mormon foster homes where they were sexually abused and that LDS leaders did not take adequate steps to protect those children.
http://fox13now.com/2016/03/24/lds-churc...r-program/ Seems Mormons have an appetite for people they think are descendants of cursed Jewish tribe. WTF?!
teachings of the Bible are so muddled and self-contradictory that it was possible for Christians to happily burn heretics alive for five long centuries. It was even possible for the most venerated patriarchs of the Church, like St. Augustine and St. Thomas Aquinas, to conclude that heretics should be tortured (Augustine) or killed outright (Aquinas). Martin Luther and John Calvin advocated the wholesale murder of heretics, apostates, Jews, and witches. - Sam Harris, "Letter To A Christian Nation"
