I recall several waves of Iranian missile attacks against Israel last year, as well as Iranian support for Hamas, Hezbollah, and other designated terrorist organizations.

So who is at fault is not quite so clear.  Personally, I blame the religious people.

Iran was probably behind the October 7th attacks. Hezbollah and Hamas are being directly supported by Iran.
 
Iran is still far from having atomic weapons. It needs months and perhaps even years to build one. But it’s the same as Saddam Hussein. It’s a regime that oppresses its own people. So if Trump doesn’t smash them now some other nation will have to do it at some point.
 
+ Huge sums of money are being spent on this war (200 million dollar / day). Eliminating people’s desperation around the world and the promotion and maintaining of democratic + undemocratic but acceptable forms of governance should be our priority.

/ And that’s not on Netanyahu’s + Trump's Agenda.
