I am overwhelmed with gratefulness for what Jesus did for you and for me on the cross. I'll never be able to fully comprehend the great exchange of his suffering and death for my sin. Because of his death, I can live. Because He loved me anyway in my wretched and sinful state, I can place all my trust in Him.

I just don't get this twisted mindset anymore...

I dont either. Even when I was a christian I wasnt that big into it, actually fr0d0 would have seemed conservative when compared to me at the time.

What this friend of yours posted is flat out nutty sounding to me.

Every time I hear this I ask what happened before Jesus was nailed to the cross? Nobody reached salvation because Jesus hadn't been sacrificed yet? The response is always about the new covenant and I just tune out because I don't like leaps in logic.
