I was raised in America, and will most likely live out my life in America, and until someone gets up and says otherwise, it's 9/11. If I move somewhere else, I will conform to their date format.

We use the dates the other way (the right way )round but still refer to the attack as 9/11. So it dosen't really matter. We still get the reference and are all aware that Americans use a slightly different format.

and I'm sure he would say that "11-9" just doesn't have the same ring to it somehow. Something about the rhythm to it.
