I sadly agree with you. Propaganda takes it's toll. I just had a conversation this morning with my bookkeeper. She gets a steady diet of right wing talk radio. She's not rich by any means and yet I couldn't make her understand that asking the rich to pay their fair share of taxes to help maintain society isn't "communism".
If the top 10% own 90% of the country, they should be paying 90% of our tax revenue. Those that own, pay to maintain. This is true of a condo complex or anything else where ownership is shared. People pay to maintain in accordance to how much of a share of it they own.
She thinks a "flat tax" would help address that problem. 
This is just how effective right wing propaganda has been in America. Eat your heart out Pravda!

Yeah..needless to say that concept of bi-sexuality falls flat on the ears of the right. To them, it is either gay or straight..not gray, just black or white.
..then again, this IS the mentality of those who are authoritarian. There is never a gray area for them. It is either "with me or against me"

Sorry, the nebulous "her" I was thinking of was defiantly NOT Michelle Bachmann (*ewwww, chringe*). The woman I was remembering was a lot younger, prettier and much less scary.
