Imitation or not, bacon itself is not haraam as long as they are not made from pork. Turkey bacon, for example, is halal as padraic mentioned in his post. The thing is that there are different types of bacon (such as pork, beef, and turkey). Bacon itself is considered to be halal. It's the type of meat you use to make the the bacon that determines whether it is halal or not. However, another concern is the issue of how well I could trust that the slaughter was done in the proper Islamic way (especially if a store is run by non-Muslims) and not putting a false "halal" label on the products just to make a profit out of them.

That video was just for a little humor since 'cooking' cereal is something that all of you guys know already.
I don't cook very often, though. Most of the time, my mother cooks the meals for the 6 members in the family (including herself) unless if we eat something from outside. However, learning to cook is not too difficult and I can learn more about cooking if needed even though I might suck at it.

No problem, let him eat meat and pork as much as he wants to.
^ I would rather eat this instead of the one made by the sunglass dude except with a few less broccolis though.

Thought so. But, it doesn't bother me when people taunt me on the internet. It's like a small fly that comes and goes away.

Rayaan, you have suspicions about non muslims offering Halal products? What's the deal, do we godless heathens have the market cornered on impropriety? I mean, roger, the thought that I could somehow tank your heavenly ascension by slipping some pork into your cobb salad is alluring, but I don't think I could do it to ya.
(Considers the newfound value of a GMO with swine genetics and a tendency to pollinate adjacent crops)
Speaking of food, and Halal. What portion of the genetic code of a pig is haraam? Pigs and plants share a shitload of genes. And how are we to distinguish the haraam code of swine vs other ungulates? Possibly an unfair question, since those early muslims who decided this stuff had no idea wtf a gene was, but that is, in essence, what they were ruling against. I just wonder, at what point will these prohibitions need to bend? For reference, we share about 60% of our code as human beings with bananas. Is eating people haraam? Would eating a banana be 60% haraam? Is there some fee that I could pay to absolve myself of this?
If it weren't for pigs, I wouldn't be here, they were the biggest game in the part of the world my family hails from, not alot else to go with. Surely Allah saw that coming?
( I love pigs, long line of pig lovers, hell, my bronze age ancestors wore pig crests on their heads going into battle, and blew into pig shaped horns to make sure the enemy knew they were about to get fucked up)

How can anyone, Muslim, Kosher Jew, Vegan or Organic-nut REALLY trust any chain when they hardly EVER actually see the process?
No offense, Rayaan - food laws, unless for health reasons, are fucking nuts.

Everyone has to put a certain amount of trust in food suppliers, trusting them to not have spat in your food or have such low hygiene that you're liable to get ill.
