Sandwich debate.

RE: Sandwich debate.
I have never quite understood why anyone should cut the sandwich in half anyways..

But to answer your question; there will always be two sandwiches if you cut one in half, as long as there's no "standard sandwich" Tongue
When I was young, there was a god with infinite power protecting me. Is there anyone else who felt that way? And was sure about it? but the first time I fell in love, I was thrown down - or maybe I broke free - and I bade farewell to God and became human. Now I don't have God's protection, and I walk on the ground without wings, but I don't regret this hardship. I want to live as a person. -Arina Tanemura

Cutting it in half makes it easier, of course.

You see, I don't get that. It isn't 2 sandwiches... It is 2 bits of the same sandwich.

If you have a sandwich made from 2 full slices of bread, and cut it in half, would you have 2 sandwiches or would it simply be 2 halfs of the same sandwich.

I believe that it would remain as the same sandwich. However, if you cut the slices of bread before making it then you would have 2 sandwiches...

This seemed to have caused quite a divide amongst my friends and I.

What do you think of this?

It depends on the definition of "sandwich", if your definition is "isolated section of filling layered between at least two sections of bread" then any size section is a sandwich, if the definition is "filling layered between two whole pieces of bread" then a sandwich cut in half is two halves.

Yes, perhaps the problem is definition.

Two hot thick slices of bacon with a
dollop of mayo nestling inside a tiny bed
of grated cheese resting on couple of fried
eggs covered by two thick slices of pure white
bread layered with large lashings of thick creamy
butter on a black plate perfectly perched up on her
gorgeous and symmetrically flawless arse in the middle
of the Irish countryside on a cool summer night and washed
down with a pint of ice cold Coke is the most perfect sandwich
in the most serene setting with the most beautiful woman that the
imagination of yours truly has created siince the origin of this thread

Hmmm.. Well, they always cut my sub in half, and I would definetely still call it just one, so I guess I see your point ^_^

You guys are all wrong, once it's cut it's two seperate sandwiches. When you cut a human in half it's blatently two seperate people.
