RE: Dead sea scrolls available on line
I wonder how many apologists we'll see quoting the scrolls over their current interpretations?
I am the Infantry. I am my country’s strength in war, her deterrent in peace. I am the heart of the fight… wherever, whenever. I carry America’s faith and honor against her enemies. I am the Queen of Battle. I am what my country expects me to be, the best trained Soldier in the world. In the race for victory, I am swift, determined, and courageous, armed with a fierce will to win. Never will I fail my country’s trust. Always I fight on…through the foe, to the objective, to triumph overall. If necessary, I will fight to my death. By my steadfast courage, I have won more than 200 years of freedom. I yield not to weakness, to hunger, to cowardice, to fatigue, to superior odds, For I am mentally tough, physically strong, and morally straight. I forsake not, my country, my mission, my comrades, my sacred duty. I am relentless. I am always there, now and forever. I AM THE INFANTRY! FOLLOW ME!

Humans (like Horses) are very good at lying to each other.... I for the life of me can't understand why the seemingly majority of people haven't jelled with this concept

It's killed a lot of people.
At the age of five, Skagra decided emphatically that God did not exist.  This revelation tends to make most people in the universe who have it react in one of two ways - with relief or with despair.  Only Skagra responded to it by thinking, 'Wait a second.  That means there's a situation vacant.'

Understood, but the relevance of the availability of the scrolls is the opportunity to learn. I don't mean learn about some imagined god but learn about how people lived and thought and how they made records.

I have recently been playing with the Christians on their forums and virtually none of them knew that 'the bible' (now a very misleading term!) was put together on the orders of the Pagan Emperor Constantine. I'm not claiming I converted any of them but it sure as hell made some of them think. They generally only know Sunday school nonsense.

The more we can get theists to think, the better the chances of the planet surviving Islamic/Christian/Jewish nuclear war in your life time.
