My opinion - origin of the universe?

RE: My opinion - origin of the universe?
You're firing off common (and garbage) apologetic arguments rapid fire without backing any of them up. Try to focus on any one of them, please.
I am the Infantry. I am my country’s strength in war, her deterrent in peace. I am the heart of the fight… wherever, whenever. I carry America’s faith and honor against her enemies. I am the Queen of Battle. I am what my country expects me to be, the best trained Soldier in the world. In the race for victory, I am swift, determined, and courageous, armed with a fierce will to win. Never will I fail my country’s trust. Always I fight on…through the foe, to the objective, to triumph overall. If necessary, I will fight to my death. By my steadfast courage, I have won more than 200 years of freedom. I yield not to weakness, to hunger, to cowardice, to fatigue, to superior odds, For I am mentally tough, physically strong, and morally straight. I forsake not, my country, my mission, my comrades, my sacred duty. I am relentless. I am always there, now and forever. I AM THE INFANTRY! FOLLOW ME!

And you are making an accusation without substance. If you have a response, please make it so I can reply. Looks like the shoe is on the other foot today Rhythm.

Seriously Rhythm, don;t fault me for responding to replies, make your argument so I can respond to it.

Without substance...lol, okay buddy. You've presented the following:

First Cause.
Biblical Innerrency
ID
"No God No Morality"
The God of the Gaps.
Creation Ex Nihilo
(Would you like the post number for any of these?)

The list of propositions for which you have offered evidence, or even attempted to support is:

(See how empty this list is compared to the first?)

Rhythm, you're obviously more intelligent than me so you have to type slowly and spell things out for me.

I see nothing to respond to in what you posted here. Could nyou please elaborate for this poor feeble old man?

My friends on this forum call me Kichi (easier to type)

You are Bipolar then?? No crime if you suffer this affliction but it would help if the forum is aware of this, it will temper their responses.

Firstly there IS NO sin in my opinion and no right or wrong per se.

Your opinion is a valuable tool for you is the opinion of this forum. Your ability to look at facts and question them is also very valuable ...but others have said this to you in other words.

It is my opinion that the world was never this "perfect place" the religious like to perpetrate on the gullible, it has always been a very violent place, full of change and challenge.

To say that 'mankind has ruined the Earth' is the epitome of arrogance in my opinion. We are OF this planet and this planet will do very well with or without us. You have any number of pre-historic events of extinction to look at for evidence. Complaining that "mankind has ruined this Earth" is the sort of whiny bleating I would expect from a three year old who has just figured out that Mummy and Daddy DON"T make the Sun Rise and Set. A rather infantile view in my opinion.

I support the current theory of the Big Bang (as the best model based on current available information) ...HOW the Big Bang came to be is another question and science is still looking into it. Some of the planet's best minds are working on this conundrum and I am certain that a plausible theory will surface soon enough. The whole of evolution is best put into layman's terms in "The Ancestor's Tale" by Richard Dawkins. You may not like the guy personally but he does have the science and a flair for putting that science into words that you and I can understand and relate to.

There is so much reading material out there that you could be perusing instead of a Fantasy novel from 1700 years ago (written very poorly I might add) designed to snare the gullible and uninformed.

There you go again...no one is out "to get you" and like I said being bipolar is no crime..shit my son has Autism and my daughter has Epilepsy where do you think they got that from??

An atheist wouldn't; but hey you are religious and your bible is full of rape, pillage, murder, sodomy, incest and misogyny...who am I to judge you??

Why are you so offended?? You are taking words out of context..is this how you read your bible?? Any wonder you're confused. Sorry but the world isn't about YOU. Why are you carrying on like a three year old?? Or is this part of you mental health problem?? Why should you think that my comments are offensive?? You are being very disrespectful here as I am being very patient and respect towards you and all you can think of is to cause affrontery at every imagined insult?? Are you muslim??

The universe as you put it is far too vast for a start. There is no credible evidence that there is any 'design' to it and why is it so important for you to 'know'? Why are you so afraid not to know?? Does this offend your sense of elitism?

Show it up to be "poorly written" and "designed to snare the gullible and uninformed."

Why would I bother to re-write it, when there are greater minds than mine who have archaeologically disproved the authenticity of the stories in this fantasy novel of yours. Surely your VAST amount of reading has covered these tomes of wisdom??

RE: My opinion - origin of the universe?
Sure, NP. That was a short list of claims that you have made throughout this thread. These are claims that we see here often. We would appreciate it greatly if you were able to focus on one of them, and provide some sort of evidence to support the position. It's frustrating to try and have a conversation with someone who makes claims like these, and instead of backing them up, moves on to another claim. Sadly, this is also something we deal with often. So, the thread started out with Intelligent Design. Perhaps you would like to offer some evidence for this position? You don't have to choose this one, of course, but if you could pick one of them and give it some weight that would be fantastic.

(I could have made the list longer, but you are firing them off too quick to keep up with)

But you offer no evidence for any of your statements. I can say I don't like you (which I'm not) but unless I say why it's just empty words, just as the things you say about me are empty words. You take offense when I call you out for your sarcasm but I'm not allowed to be offended at being called "stupid" "immature" and "arrogant". You seem to have quite a double standard, sweetie.

There you go again Rhythm, accusing me of firing points off to quick for you to keep up with when I am just nresponding to replies. Amazing, when I complained yesterday about too many people firing off responses at different points to me you called me a whiner. Another instance of your double standard.
