What is there to "get over," searching?
I mean, if you find yourself in a situation where it happens because it happens, great, but don't treat it like something that you have to "get over" like it's a dentist visit. Searching, have you posted your picture here? I'm sure you're a strapping lad and you should be beating the girls away with a large stick (like the one between your legs, AM I RIGHT?). You're in high school right? If I was that age again with what I know now, I would absolutely barnstorm my way through girls. Key pointers: 1. Be funny 2. Have an interesting hobby (especially playing an instrument - NOT the tuba) 3. Be social, get yourself in social situations as often as possible 4. If the above fail, get them really fucking drunk and tell them they have pretty eyes. BAM.

Funny is huge. A girl will make allowances for a guy's looks if he proves himself smart and funny - no joke. Lots of people asked me how I could date a guy who was only my height (like that matters or something) and I said honestly that besides the fact that he was super smart, charming/poetic, had excellent taste and a big wallet (hehehe), and for the most part treated me like a precious gem, he also was gut-bustingly, tear-inducing, lay-me-out-on-the-bed-clutching-my-stomach funny. Dude could walk into a hostile situation and diffuse it with one witty comment. Which is how my roommate's brother picks up all the girls. He's no looker, and his older brother is reckoned to be "the cute one," but damned if he doesn't manage to gather chicks around him like a magnet. See my "pick up lines" thread - that Brett Favre comment he made is just the tip of the ice burg. He makes em' laugh and they melt 'like buttah'.
