You are confusing blindness with the ability to dispel superstitions through non-belief. The blind lack one sense and make up with other senses in incredible ways. Perhaps this "blindness" you would like to apply is the ability to see the bullshit with a better set of filters.
There is no "real" blindness in rejecting myth cycles as anything beyond stories.
