Carry on in your own special word. I just want it noted that I'm an atheist and I'm nothing like you guys. You're idiots.

You're doing the exact same thing you're accusing everyone else of doing. Funny, that.

The complete and utter disrespect of people who have a different opinion on God. Is it really that hard to see why people believe in God? Are you really that short-sighted? I know these are the atheist forums, so technically you can jump on someone as soon as they even remotely promote God as an idea, but surely an atheist should use the same logic to dismiss God as to respect the fact that intelligent people (for multiple valid reasons) have a God. God as an idea isn't going to disappear by one good post by an atheist on these forums. Some of you show a complete and utter lack of appreciation for God's involvement in our evolution as a species, and think he showed up a few minutes ago to try and sell you mortgage insurance.

I'm not sure if it's an atheist thing or an internet thing..

Religion will run its course naturally over time, why can't we respect each other in the mean time?

And before you reply, I want you to imagine your brother/sister believes in God.

Humor me.

Well, I pointed something similar out before, but I've been told that it was unimportant.

Well, I don't think you are, you can tell from the way you word things.

And, if you are going to try to insult anyone, at least be funny about it.

Also, yes, you are nothing like us. You would be happy to sit by and have priests fuck kids, extremists blow up innocent people and let people indoctrinate the young.

It's a fucking discussion forum. If you don't fit in or don't like what's being discussed, leave. It's simple.

Is it really so hard for you to accept that there are people who do not? Gaze for a while at the banner across the top and perhaps it will come to you what sort of group this is.

Then take your fucking god and blow it out your ass.

The fuck off was because no is too short an answer. It was also because the question was 'constructed' poorly and showed that you are likely lying about your views.

I'll consult you next time I think I have an idea.

I'll respect anyone who wants to have a reasoned discussion and who leaves the preaching at the door.

I don't have much respect for those that don't, nor for people who storm in and start hurling insults.

The reaction they would get would depend entirely upon whether or not they tried to cram their belief down my throat - same as anyone else.

Rather than embracing opposing views? Do you 'embrace' things you consider bullshit? I hope not.

I wasn't aware I was in a special "word". Could you explain that concept?

"You're idiots". Trolling trolling trolling! How's that going for you?

When I was 5 years old, my mother always told me that happiness was the key to life. When I went to school, they asked me what I wanted to be when I grew up. I wrote down happy. They told me I didn't understand the assignment. I told them they didn't understand life.

I'm sorry for calling you all idiots. I guess I was making a generalization because I felt under attack straight off the bat.

The irony is not lost.

Anyway, I made my point. The fact that it matters whether I'm an atheist or not, and therefore how I'm treated, just serves to prove my point.

I'm a atheist on the atheist forums telling you to try and respect the fact that not everyone is as privileged. Why is that so hard to comprehend?

forget it.
