He was by no means a "poor guy." He was an asshat. However, I do agree that they "wasted" him. It's a damn shame when mob mentality results in murder. A trial would have been better.

People keep saying he was such a bad guy.. So what did he do? I read things like this and don't really see how horrible it was? I guess you could call it confused.
"At the time of the revolution in 1969, 40% of the population lived in tents or shanty houses and was one of the worst in the Arab world. The revolution promised "housing for all", and by 1997 virtually every Libyan owned their own home through government laws which supported such" "Following the revolution in 1969, universal healthcare services were created through the National Social Insurance Institute, with women having equal access.[11] Between 1969 and 1978, the number of physicians increased by 4-5 times. Libya had one of the best healthcare systems in Africa before the 1992 U.N. sanctions, which rapidly declined the quality of medicine and supplies" (October 20, 2011 at 5:49 pm)Shell B Wrote: He was by no means a "poor guy." He stood true to his ideals and views no matter what, and he hold out to the end, instead of fleeing like some other guys who were again, betrayed a second time by the western powers... Pooper, read a bit more about him. It is relatively easy to see that and not bother to look deeper.
Kilic, Hitler stood true to his ideals too, so did a number of other dictators. Sticking to your ideals is not necessarily a strong point when your ideals are fucking insane. Still, I do not support the way he was murdered. It was very uncivilized. (October 20, 2011 at 6:03 pm)Shell B Wrote: Pooper, read a bit more about him. I can tell you that this is not going to be the first of their atrocities. Let's see how they hang Qaddafi supporters, and people who will not allow them to "find their way" in the next couple of months. Arab spring my ass, they live in the fucking desert! More up to date news on his death.
http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/mobile/world-a...K12_14_15_ Well, if you didn't support the way he was murdered, why did you support the rebels? How did you get from one to the other. It makes no sense. I supported George Bush's decision to invade Iraq, doesn't mean I have to like his bullshit tax breaks for the megarich does it. I didn't say I support the rebels, though I do support rebellion, in general, when it comes to dictatorships. I will say this, though, coups that take over already corrupt governments tend to have some fucked up ideas themselves because they have been living in a fucked up system for their entire lives. Yeah, big change that will be. RE: So Gaddafi is dead....

Quote:I didn't say I support the rebels, though I do support rebellion, in general, when it comes to dictatorships.Well, you are a romantic. Nothing more. Quote:I believe you mean the last of their atrocities. Only time will tell if you are correct or merely biased. I will say this, though, coups that take over already corrupt governments tend to have some fucked up ideas themselves because they have been living in a fucked up system for their entire lives.Sorry, I kinda confuse words in english sometimes. And well, I must say that this isn't a coup, though. A coup is an organized, military intervention of the same state, whereas here, it was the (nato-backed)rebels against the state, meaning, it's being led by a bunch of uneducated minds, who need to be herded by someone. That someone is the west. France gave the rebels the location of Qaddafi, and sat back, enjoying the show. Quote:Oh, you mean how Gaddafi had people who so much as discussed politics imprisoned and those who wanted to be involved in political parties killed? Yeah, big change that will be.And you are content with that. And let me state only one thing. The idea of democracy does not apply to everywhere. Democracy only works in places where it could actually work out. I don't think that democracy works well in the west, as to actually work elsewhere. Just so that people can get the illusion of a choice, would it be worth to sacrifice your future? Üze Tengri basmasar, asra Yir telinmeser, Türük bodun ilingin törüngin kim artatı udaçı erti?
