Government officials in Iran are trying to convince a jailed pastor to return to Islam as he waits for the nation’s supreme leader to decide whether he should be executed for converting to Christianity.

Its funny how often Islam is linked with killing isnt it.

Christians would be just as bad if it were not for western law keeping them from following their religion to its logical conclusion.

Well then I guess what Islam needs is a good dose of western law and lead!

Iran had a quite secular regime before the Molla's stepped in.
And they stepped in due to the widespread corruption of the US-backed Shah regime, who in turn, topped a democratically elected president who wanted to sell the oil to the west for it's real worth.
In truth, however, the Molla regime remains as one of the few remaining rogue regimes around, a thorn in anyone's eyes, but certainly not enough for another round of "western democracy".
Although it might be a good chance for us to rip south Azerbaijan right form the jaws of the persian while the US is busy fightan for the man.
