It's really the only thing I find disgusting about women. Love of inanimate objects (especially shiny stones). Soooo stupid.

Yeah...because it's not like men aren't just as obsessed with material objects. Oh wait...

Like you, I don't get the jewelry obsession. Women have been conditioned to like it and don't even think about why they like or if they actually like it. If a man presented me with expensive jewelry, I'd thank him and ask him to take it back. The money could be spent on a vacation or something for both of us. On the other hand, I'd never turn down these:

Incorrect, as I used the conjunction, "and" between two separate groups, one, a sex, and the other an exclusive subset of a different sex. Look for a different connection, perhaps.
