Here's why Creatards might be right
RE: Here's why Creatards might be right
There is a lot of evidence for the statement, "If we were intelligently designed, that intelligence was not very good at designing."

Our "design" is exactly what you'd expect to see from natural processes, and nothing like what you'd expect to see from a competent designer.

(If you know anything about human biology.)

Not that I believe in an Intelligent designer, but er what if the designer was just incompetent as fuck? What if there are other competent designers that have designed worlds far more perfect than that of ours? I ask this because the only think that seems to not enable you to believe in the concept of an Intelligent designer is the fact that we live in an imperfect world, the world would've very well be designed by an incompetent designer. Would you believe in Intelligent design if this were true?
Also what if we're just incredibly pessimistic and this is in fact a perfect world we live in?

(I don't personally believe in what I said above, I'm only "debugging" your beliefs hehe Big Grin)

I'd believe in some sort of designer if there was evidence for that designer. I wouldn't expect any standard from the design, no.

As it happens, there is absolutely no evidence for it at all. We have extremely good explanations which require no external guidance.

The thing that I find strange is that when people attribute our design to "god" or whatever, they are calling god a shitty designer. I call that rather insulting.

If there was a designer capable of creating all life on this planet, wouldn't there need to be some level of competency involved? Take, for example the evolution of the whale, it evolved from a land animal, but the indohyus it evolved from originally came from the ocean. WTF? Only a mindless process would meander like this.

Therein lies the rub-

Attaching a god to evolution belittles the very notion of a god.  A god wouldn't need evolution to create some pissant life on a pebble in the void.  Being the designer of all life on this planet, however well designed, amounts to nothing in the cosmic scheme of things.  Smarter than me?  Sure...and that's worth even -less- than nothing. The father of maggots, the king of the apes....this is god?
