RE: Would you have sex with a Christian fundamentalist?

I don't understand the answers of the people who said they would do it. If you care about the well being of a fellow human being, why would you be ok with being part of doing something that you know they would deeply regret?
"Of course, everyone will claim they respect someone who tries to speak the truth, but in reality, this is a rare quality. Most respect those who speak truths they agree with, and their respect for the speaking only extends as far as their realm of personal agreement. It is less common, almost to the point of becoming a saintly virtue, that someone truly respects and loves the truth seeker, even when their conclusions differ wildly."

Right, so you would be taking advantage of their moment of weakness. If you knew they were fundamentalist Christians, you'd know that belief in saving sex for marriage is huge to them. I don't see how it's a loving or caring thing to do to go ahead and help them do something that you know they will regret.

That's why it is better to corrupt a Catholic girl. All she has to do is repent and confess and then she's as good as new. To help her out, one should always avoid vaginal sex cuz that's the kind that will really drop her in God's esteem. Besides she may come to enjoy anal. Hope that helps.

That's the case with all Christians... we believe God forgives anyone who is truly sorry for what they did. That does not mean it's easy to stop feeling bad about it, though. Especially if later on in life you marry someone who waited for you and you can't give them the same in return. Actions still have consequences in this world, even after God forgives us.

What I'm saying is, its not a loving or caring thing to do to someone when you play a part in doing something you know betrays their values and that you know they will regret. Regardless of if it's sex or anything else. It just seems like common human decency, and common concern for a fellow human being to refrain from doing something like that.

Or their moment of sanity - you're making a moral judgement, as usual. Guilt, shame and weakness - how typical of a catholic to associate sexuality with negatives. There's nothing wrong with sex and there is no "strength" in celibacy. Make your own choices for yourself, why don't you - and let other adults decide for themselves.
Maybe that person wouldn't regret it, maybe instead they would become less of a frustrated, bitter, loveless Jesus-freak - even if only for a while. You've got to have hope, that deluded, self-harming people will finally see though their madness and start living their lives for themselves, rather than for the sky-daddy...
Besides - even deluded morons deserve some fun once in a while. And christians are masters at dealing with guilt and such. They just go into a magic closet with a man in a dress, murmur some nursery rhymes/magic spells and they can go straight to heaven. So no harm done.

I was talking about it through their perspective. If THEY believe sex is for marriage, then it would be a moment of weakness and temptation on their part for them to say yes to it, if they really feel they should be saying no but are having a hard time resisting.
