Still struggling.
RE: Still struggling.
Maybe that's because there's no proof of there being any consequences, and because the idea of infinite punishment for finite crimes is barbaric anyway....

This sort of explains why such intolerant fundamentalists have a near-infinite capacity for intolerance, cruelty, and general meanness. Whenever they have had complete political control of a society, add barbarity infinitum every time.

The Selfish Gene and The Greatest Show on Earth will be delivered tommorow. Im gonna have to hide these a bit better.

My mom was saying "People like Dawkuns think they are so smart." In my head i was saying "Hes a biologist of fucking course hes smart.". Now i have to defend myself against my mom, dad, and my two brothers.

Oh well, i just need to keep a rational mind.

You might want to read Carl Sagan's "Demon Haunted World".

It is not specifically an atheist book, nor is it about a specific field of science. It is basically an instruction book on how to think critically about any and all extraordinary claims.

It is a toolkit for critical thinking. It will make you into a "bullshit detector".

You'd believe if you just opened your heart" is a terrible argument for religion. It's basically saying, "If you bias yourself enough, you can convince yourself that this is true." If religion were true, people wouldn't need faith to believe it -- it would be supported by good evidence.

I masked it behind an eBay gift card. I bought an ebay gift card and used it as a middle man to mask it.

Did she confiscate "The God Delusion"? Try the library for an electronic form which you can read on your computer or mobile. Most libraries have an ebook system these days, and the best part of that is you can read them gratis.

If not available on the local library site, pm me and we'll see if I can't somehow transfer you my TGD file.

Anyone else wants it, just ask Wink
