What is your proof that a quark or a string has consciousness? To me it seems that you are simply expressing an opinion based on your belief in a faerie tale.

Why would I be upset? Why do you always have to play the cunt?
At the age of five, Skagra decided emphatically that God did not exist.  This revelation tends to make most people in the universe who have it react in one of two ways - with relief or with despair.  Only Skagra responded to it by thinking, 'Wait a second.  That means there's a situation vacant.'

Nothing does not exist.
If it would exist we wouldn't be here, nothing would be here.
Nothing generate nothing so everything that exist come from somewhere.
Energy and consciousness are everywhere no matter how small things are
or what they are.
Energy and consciousness can not be destroyed ever.
They change and change but we can not get rid of them.
The consciousness-energy in matter doesn't appear out of nothing
It was there before it turned into matter.
You can called these building block of energy-consciousness the way you like.
It really doesn't matter.
They surely carry consciousness.
Matter is none but the creation that occurred after the change.  Lightbulb

I know I've said this before, but you really seen to have a hard time grasping what words actually mean, Rik. Just because your sentence structure is correct, doesn't mean you aren't talking nonsense.

Energy-consciousness isn't a thing in the sense that you're using it. It is a thing that you made up...unless you're talking about Chi, in which case it's something somebody else made up.
Verbatim from the mouth of Jesus (retranslated from a retranslation of a copy of a copy):

"Do not judge, or you too will be judged. For in the same way you judge others, you too will be judged, and with the measure you use, it will be measured to you. How can you see your brother's head up his ass when your own vision is darkened by your head being even further up your ass? How can you say to your brother, 'Get your head out of your ass,' when all the time your head is up your own ass? You hypocrite! First take your head out of your own ass, and then you will see clearly who has his head up his ass and who doesn't." Matthew 7:1-5 (also Luke 6: 41-42)

Little Rik, I'm new to this thread, but your assertion that nothing does not exist is demonstrably false.  There is the earth and the moon.  In between there is a whole bunch of nothing.  Just because nothingness exists does not mean that something cannot exist.

To the other people involved in this discussion, am I just banging my head against the wall here?

We all bang our heads against the wall when dealing with LR. I say dealing with him instead of debating him because you can't debate gibberish. Or word salad.

Welcome to this thread Pope.
Unfortunately i got bad news for you.
The space between here and there is something.
7 is a special number.
According to yoga there is consciousness, mind, space, air, light, water and matter.
All these 7 elements must be there for the universe to exist.
Suppose you (your consciousness) start creating something in your (mind).
You need a (space) to put this creation inside.
In order for this creation to manifest it need (air), (light), (water) and (matter).
This is how the system works but of course you are free to think that space is not needed.
That is up to you so you may think that the creation is spaceless.
In this case you will have to think of an alternative and suggest God to do without space.
You never know Pope.
The next time God create a universe he may pick up your tip and do without space.  Rolleyes  Lightbulb  Rolleyes
To summarise space is a very important element.
The universe just could not do without and an element like space is not nothing.
On the contrary it is something very very important in the creation of this universe.
Just imagine if there wouldn't be the space in between planets or stars.
You could walk to the moon but of course this idea is bankrupt.
Space is there, it exist so it is not nothing.  Lightbulb
