The Bible didn't exist until an English committee wrote it around 700 A.D.
You're not very intelligent are you, all the books of the NT were finished by the end of the first century.

The Jews and Romans where familiar with the prophecies and at least the Jews would have been hell bent on making sure he stayed dead. Peace Faith in selfless Unity for Good.
Also, I should also say we don't know anything about Joseph of Arimathea except the one reference to him in the account that labels him as a "secret follower". So it could actually be that he was an associate of the family of Jesus - perhaps a close relative or family friend, and that over the course of the next two decades with the story of the crucifixion of Jesus told and re-told the early Christians didn't know who he was and incorrectly concluded/assumed that he was a follower of Jesus.

The WIN/Gallup End of Year Survey 2013 found the US was perceived to be the greatest threat to world peace by a huge margin, with 24% of respondents fearful of the US followed by: 8% for Pakistan, and 6% for China. This was followed by 5% each for: Afghanistan, Iran, Israel, North Korea. -LINK "That's disgusting. There were clean athletes out there that have had their whole careers ruined by people like Lance Armstrong who just bended thoughts to fit their circumstances. He didn't look up cheating because he wanted to stop, he wanted to justify what he was doing and to keep that continuing on." - Nicole Cooke Quote:Also, I should also say we don't know anything about Joseph of Arimathea except the one reference to him in the account that labels him as a "secret follower". Yes, and even worse is that history and archaeology cannot identify any place called "Arimathea." And even worse than that the usage X of Y is not consistent with the Jewish aristocracy which would have been the patronymic X son of Y. All in all it just looks like they had to invent a character who would get jesus' sorry ass down off the cross. It seems silly to think that a guy who lived a day away would have a tomb in another city when the practice was to entomb the corpse immediately.Quote:Also, I should also say we don't know anything about Joseph of Arimathea except the one reference to him in the account that labels him as a "secret follower". http://images.slideplayer.com/26/8684116...lide_6.jpg (May 28, 2016 at 12:17 am)Aractus Wrote: Also, I should also say we don't know anything about Joseph of Arimathea except the one reference to him in the account that labels him as a "secret follower". You do realise that Yeshua fulfilled exactly none of the jewish prophesies, right? Most of the "prophesies" he fulfilled were either pervrsions of jewish ones (the virgin birth thing), made up stories to make him look like fulfilling them (creating a census out of thin air to have him be born in Bethlehem, not that Joseph would have gone to Bethlehem for a real census), or just plain made up.
