Well, in recent history it seems "god" told almost every Republican candidate to run for president. He told a woman to kill her kids, and he's told various parents to pray and not get their kids medical treatment.

Over all, I would say don't listen to the voices in your head.

god gives them a sign. The giant turd flushed, it's a sign. The toilet clogged, it's a sign. Anything can be a sign. I asked god, then I sneezed. I prayed and shit didn't happen, it's OK, must be a sign, god just said no. Guess I just have to live with the rhoids, god is teaching me.

The best signs, god shows up in food, oil spills, rust stains, a crumpled piece of paper. They start seeing jesus in tree scars when normal people see vaginas.

If the voices contradict Jesus' message in the bible, then ignore them.

If the voices in scripture contradict Jesus' message in the bible, then ignore them.

And how do you know whether the test comes up negative. What does a negative result look like. It seems to me that you attribute things to the 'voice' of God regardless of whether they are positive or negative. What clear sign would you have that God is not talking to you?

And if it didn't violate the teachings of the bible, then how do you identify a negative result?
