He does believe that, clearly. Interestingly, he mentions Africa, in particular. Middle Eastern countries stole people from Africa for hundreds of years.

Please prove to me that black African's were slaves in the middle east during the period 1700-1900

Actually, throughout the existance of the human race - most civlilizations have utilized slaves in one way or another. Some, like native americans, would even allow their slaves to earn their freedom and become a legitimate member of their society.

I don't know why Ruhollah, you would be so surprised to find that slavery existed in that area of the world.

Don't tell me because it has barbaric punishments....because it doesn't. I can come up with hundred of punishments in other religions that are really barbaric.

It's because corporations can't make a big profit from the followers. They don't drink. They don't gamble. They are not materialistic/greedy. They don't go for tainted meat/food. Basically, they won't give in into any vices. They are essentially protected from all the bs corrupt businesses put out into the market.

This was not about religion. It was about society. Personally, I don't know one single mother who has turned to Islam for guidance.

No. I don't care. I am an atheist. I think all Abrahamic religions are equally fucked up. That is not to say each individual that follows them is fucked up, but to say that the religions themselves are seriously out of whack with reality.

I am sorry, but that is not true. All people can be corrupted. I laugh because I am actually watching a documentary right now and they were showing how the sex trade flourished in Iraq (largely Muslim country, there) after Saddam was killed. It is dictatorships and seriously strict laws that keep Muslims in line, not innate goodness. Mind you, that is not to say that some Muslims are not good. I am very sure that there are some truly wonderful Muslims out there. I am just saying they are human. Everyone is susceptible to vices, everyone.

I didn't finish that paragraph, I thought I erased that line. Essentially I was making the point that the prophet was encouraging all the followers of this religion to free their slaves as soon as possible. It took some generations for this to happen.

It's so convenient to pick and choose nations that are suffering economically because of years of war will have such practices. Most of these people have psychological issues.

I am not going to comment on your source, until I verify it myself. Most of the statements the author is making is contradicting the history books I read.

For now the point I am making is that it took until after 1900s for human's right to be respected in the west.
