I find myself consistently to be a member of the latter. :-)

Being smart is about being smart in ways I am smart. Everything else is irrelevant.

I remember a saying.
Half of being smart is knowing what you are dumb about.

When you're smart you are full of doubts because you know that you can't know everything.
This says a lot about some of the people who are full of confidence.
Sometimes you're sad because you know what the world is, unlike those who are fooled by it.
You might not get along with everyone because they don't think like you.
In my job I have the privilege of looking after a few intellectually disabled people.
They are happier in life than I.
Even being half smart can be a curse.
