A 16 year old is debatable even in today's standards ... but that's not what we're talking about.
We're talking about 9 year old girls. The huge majority of which have not even begun menstruation, let alone achieved a level of intellectual and psychological development capable of handling a sexual relationship with what we can assume is going to be an aggressive 50 year old male.

But too many people on this thread want to defend religion-endorsed pedophilia so maybe I'll just check out of this now. Clearly it pisses me off.

I think anyone who is related to a minor is a pedophile, it is not discussed.
I am an atheist, but when going to discuss a given as this is necessary to see what was natural at the time, you can not judge any time based on figures her contemporaries are not.
That's my opinion as a historian. Regarding child abuse, those who practice it have to be castrated.

There's nothing wrong with "us" as none of that is allowed in Religion. So please don't put all of us in a group as if we all comment these crimes. It's as if I were to say All atheist have no moral would be putting a entire group of people in a position they really shouldn't in.

Without going further into the subject I'm only questioning why he would place all Muslims into this group that commit atrocities we this is clearly wrong. I'm sure there quite a lot of Muslims that believe the opposite of what I do and I agree that they would dispute that. I would be up to the debate if need be. But he should know that we are two different groups and as such should address us respectively.
