I just searched for the Lisa tract through Google and managed to find a site reviewing the tract. Such a disturbing one. The last picture panel was very disconcerting to read. For those curious, there's a reason Jack Chick was pressured to take it off his site. Don't go looking for it if you get easily disturbed.
PM me it, please.
I'm not disturbed easily.

Regarding Gay Blade,
I recall wondering at the time why the Bible stuff on gays applies to everyone, inside and outside of the faith, but then other things in the Bible don't even apply to any members of the flock. Looks like I was making a connection to scripture cherry picking long before I ever heard the term, but did not realize back then just how much of the Bible is deemed irrelevant by the faithful and how pernicious scripture cherry picking was back then and still is today.

I know what you're thinking. But, FNM, where's your empathy for the guy that propagated the notion that homosexuality is caused by a demonic possession brought on by rape and child molestation? I guess you'll have to color me intolerant for hate-mongering.
Reserving the opinion that it is good that someone died doesn't equal compassion. It equals civility about death. But you are free to do what you want, I just won't engage in such sinister behaviour any time soon.

Gee, you found yet another way to feel superior.
Glad we can count on you to always take the high ground.

Nah, it just means you're being judgmental. Or just plainmental.

I also note how much of the Gay civil rights struggle was carried out sans violence. Off the top of my head, I recall the Dan White riot in Frisco as pretty much it for unpleasantries, and considering the provocation, had I been there I very well could have participated, and that was the lone 'biggee'. I'm sure the NIH wasn't thrilled with some of the ACT-UP demonstrations they witnessed, but their building wasn't burned to the ground either.

Gay civil rights struggle?
The above is what I'd call a struggle, where were all the gays then? The first gay pride parade was in 1970, which was well after the civil rights act...

The irony of people flaming a certain forum member for lacking empathy, yet THEIR lack of empathy is fine as long as it's towards someone who believes differently.
Wait...when was Jack Chick a forum member here?
