Which is more desirable, to live in accordance with nature as aincient Native Americans once did? Or this modern society? Personally I'd take the former.

Just speaking for myself, Hugs, I'll take indoor plumbing, antibiotics, central HVAC, cars, and the internet over sleeping in the dirt and having to hunt buffalo every damn day.

Fair enough.

I'll say this though, Native Americans had no need of antibiotics until Europeans showed up.

That's an idiotic statement. Yes - they had the need for antibiotics, you utter oaf. They just didn't have the option, so they just lived on average 30 years, like other primitive cultures. I wish you didn't take modern medicine you'd be dead by now...

i see people say "religion ruins everything" so that would point to the organizations and scriptures

i also see people say "youre dumb if you believe in god"

so, what do people hate? or at least, what do people have the most issue with?

Hate is a strong word. I don't hate beliefs in god; or, more precisely, people's beliefs in god. Do I think it's nonsensical? Yes, of course. Do I think they should step out of the dark ages and embrace a secular worldview? Yes, of course. But I don't hate them or their beliefs.

Lol... Are you dumb? (he asked knowingly...) So many things, it's impossible to count.

Medicine and vaccines.
Which the Native Americans didn't need.

Besides vaccines were invented by a christian anyway so...

Apparently you never read a history book, the first white American settlers had to resort to cannibalism to avoid starving, it was the Native Americans who taught them how to farm and store food.

Quote:"It's well documented that the first Europeans who settled in the New World could not have made it through the first few winters without the assistance and knowledge of American Indians," said Dick Ropp, of Edinboro, chairman of the French Creek Living History Association, a group formed in 2003 to research and disseminate information about the French and American Indian presence in Western Pennsylvania.

"The Wampanoag who lived in the area taught the Pilgrims how to smoke and dry indigenous meat and fish and how to plant the three sisters -- corn, beans and squash -- in mounds fertilized by fish and blessed by powdered tobacco, which is also a natural insect repellent," said Kinorea "Two Feather" Tigri, a cultural practitioner and educator from Chippewa.

"They also taught how to navigate from place to place by water and over land, how to tan hides used for clothing, how to identify toxic plants and berries and explained the medicinal and culinary use of indigenous herbs."

Why did Native Americans needed this knowledge?

You do also realize that a person can be an adult and still be someones child, right?

Yeah - and die of smallpox, a common infection, or gum disease at 40. Or watch at least half your children die during, or shortly after birth. You're an ungrateful dipsh*t, who can't even realize how good he has it. I'll bet you've never even seen nature. Go - live in a forest, with your entire family of morons, I f*cking dare you, you fat, soft tw*t. See what that gets you...

I've lived in Alaska for 25 years you muppet...

Antibiotics do nothing against viruses but the point remains.

Quote:Indian Chief ‘Two Eagles’ was asked by a white U.S. government official, “you have observed the white man for 90 years.  You’ve seen his wars and his technological advances.  You’ve seen his progress, and the damage he’s done.”
The Chief nodded in agreement.
The official continued, “Considering all these events, in your opinion, where did the white man go wrong?”
The Chief stared at the government official then replied, “When white man find land, Indians running it, no taxes, no debt, plenty buffalo, plenty beaver, clean water.  Women did all the work.  Medicine man free.  Indian man spend all day hunting and fishing; all night having sex.”
Then the chief leaned back and smiled, “Only white man dumb enough to think he could improve system like that.”

No. You have the option of "going off the grid". There's still plenty of wilderness, or deserted islands, or unsettled land on Earth.

By anyone. It's not uncommon for atheists to say I don't believe in God, but even if I did, I wouldn't worship him. The reason for that is that God judges people differently than the atheist judges people.

So when you write "It wasn't Muslims", and don't even bother to support it, well, you're going to come across as a hatter.

i didnt support it because i didnt think anyone wanted to start such a discussion.

its just my opinion. based on some good evidence.

Then it isn't premature to dismiss it. After all, I don't have fifteen years' looking at your "supporting evidence". For that matter, I don't even know what your "standards of evidence" are.

so calling those who believe it "nutjobs" is uncalled for.

I disagree on both counts. You don't have to like it.

if you want to get into it, be my guest. ask me anything.

There's a 9/11 thread around here somewhere. You go and read it first, and if after that you still think you could make salient points replete with "supporting evidence", you put it in there.

Belief in 9/11 being an inside job is so silly that it really is only out done by, well, religious faith.
