Where does your god fit into this?
I don't get it.  Huh

The Big Bang created the radiation era. From this came matter. This coalesced to form the first generation of stars, and then the second generation of stars which gave us the heavier elements and planets. This allowed complex organic chemistry to form, which gave rise to biology, Darwinian evolution, animals, and then humans who created societies and then technology.

Complexity has been increasing steadily since the Big Bang. It has been a steady progression rather than a series of causal steps.

We know more or less what has happened since the Big Bang. So maybe Marosep's god caused the Big Bang, but if so then it's completely irrelevant to everything that has happened since then. His god certainly did not cause any of the epochs since the Big Bang.

It may have been a typo.

Nope, it's a real word. Mariosep is very well spoken and intelligent. I admire his vocabulary.

"Well, evolution is a theory. It is also a fact. And facts and theories are different things, not rungs in a hierarchy of increasing certainty. Facts are the world's data. Theories are structures of ideas that explain and interpret facts. Facts don't go away when scientists debate rival theories to explain them. Einstein's theory of gravitation replaced Newton's in this century, but apples didn't suspend themselves in midair, pending the outcome. And humans evolved from ape- like ancestors whether they did so by Darwin's proposed mechanism or by some other yet to be discovered."

You now see, dear Simon, that this causation is prevailing all over existence, and it is the evidence of an original first and ultimate cause, namely, God in concept as first and foremost the creator and operator of the universe and man and everything with a beginning.

You continue to miss an important distinction.

The causation that is responsible for me, is creatio ex material.

In other words, my existence, from the time I was conceived until now, is a rearrangement of existing matter and energy. When my mother was pregnant with me, her appetite was quite a bit greater than when she was not pregnant. Have you ever heard the saying pregnant women use, "I am eating for two"? Where do you think all the nutrition form all that extra food went? It was converted into me.

But I don't think you believe that "god" created the universe out of preexisting matter and energy, correct?

You are most likely making the claim that your god created the universe from nothing, creatio ex nihilo.

So the question I have for you, which of course you will never answer, is why do you think that the causation that we observe within the universe, is evidence for causation for the universe itself?

You are committing the fallacy composition.

Quote:That is your acceptance of the proof from evidence, of God existing, again as first and foremost the creator and operator of the universe and man and everything with a beginning.

No I'm not accepting your 'proof'.

I understand that the creatio ex material that we observe within the universe is not evidence for the creation of the universe itself.

Quote:Dear readers here, please take notice of the concurrence of Simon Moon to my proof of the existence of God, in concept as first and foremost the creator and operator of the universe and man and everything with a beginning.

Here is another blatant example of your intellectual dishonesty.

I do not concur with your fallacious argument at all. You 'proof' is logically invalid.

Quote:And all that because he, Simon Moon, now realizes that there are babies, though he used to be all dependent on textbooks and never experienced with procreating one of them, he now knows the truth, the fact, the logic, and supported by the lessons of mankind in the history of ideas, namely, babies prove the existence of God, in concept as first and foremost the creator and operator of the universe and man and everything with a beginning.

Your illogical argument does not prove that, because there are babies, there is a god.

All you succeeded in proving is that your understanding of basic logic is massively flawed.

You'd believe if you just opened your heart" is a terrible argument for religion. It's basically saying, "If you bias yourself enough, you can convince yourself that this is true." If religion were true, people wouldn't need faith to believe it -- it would be supported by good evidence.

Now, dear Simon Moon, let us talk about causation, the concept.

You still try to make a mess of causation.

Do molecules in a proper sense cause your coming to existence and life?

Or your papa and mama?

That is the tactics of atheists, they just keep on and on with intentionally confounding the use of language when they speak.

In Christianity there is the teaching that lying is speech against one’s mind, meaning instead of communicating what one knows to be the truth, the fact, the logic, and what the history of ideas teaches of genuine lessons for mankind, the liar speaks the contrary, in order to deceive his listeners.

That is what I call an appeal to or more correctly a flight to take to refuge in intellectual perversity, by the abuse of language - one form of intellectual perversity.

Dear readers here, I am glad that I have stayed this far in Atheistforums.org (thanks to the gentlemen atheist founders and owners and operators of the web forum), for I have come to the insight about the phenomenon of intellectual perversity with atheists, namely: instead of thinking on truths, facts, logic, and the history of ideas, they seek all the time to abuse their reason and intelligence with for example messing up language, in order to succeed in their intellectually perverse motive, viz., to escape from the existence of God, in concept as first and foremost the creator and operator of the universe and man and everything with a beginning.

When you read atheists saying something on the issue God exists or not, see what they are doing to language: abusing it, so that as with Simon Moon, they talk as to misrepresent and defraud folks from the real issue involved, namely, God exists or not.

That is why they talk about flying spaghetti monster, invisible pink unicorn, orbiting teapot in space to describe God, when there are already concepts of God which center on the core achievement of God, namely the creation and operation of the universe and man and everything with a beginning.

Exactly, that is their tactics similar to the intellectual perverse practice of unethical advertising agencies, conditioning folks with lies, because they know that lies continuously repeated will bring about in people the conviction that they are getting truths from these unethical marketers of useless and even harmful and still expensively priced merchandise.

Okay, dear atheist Simon Moon, tell mankind, do molecules no matter how you distort your language brain cells, in a proper sense caused your coming to existence and life, or your papa and mama.

Dear readers here, the first instinct of Simon Moon when he reacts to this message from me, is to go into another instance of intellectual perversity, most probably with more abuse of language.

So let you see if he at least try another tack instead of abusing again his faculty of speech.

Seriously.... mario, don't have kids. They'll either grow up to think you have some serious mental problem (regression to the mean), or be new versions of idiocy as predicted in the movie Idiocracy.
