Cults and religions sure are effective.
Catholic Lady, there's a great documentary out there about Peoples Temple, the Jonestown cult. I think it might have been Paradise Lost (not to be confused with another good documentary by the same name.) To me, that was the fucking epitome of cultdom. What that guy did was tremendously evil. There's even audio of him encouraging all of his people to drink poison juice and die with him. You can listen to the whole thing. It will make you sick.

I tend to have a bit of a morbid curiosity.
Is the other documentary you're talking about the Satanism one where they kill children?

No. Satanists don't kill children. That's absurd. It's about three teenagers convicted of killing a child because people were convinced their black clothes meant they were Satanists. Their convictions were overturned.

Oh, I didn't watch that documentary, I just saw the description of it when I did a google search for "Lost Paradise" and it said it was tied to a satanic ritual of sorts. I'll have to watch it.
