Maybe a light breakfast for such kids would be a compromise? Something with slow release energy maybe.

Na. We only feed them based on their BMI.
Wonder how many teachers/adults/kids in the study would have been classified as obese?

Oh, he's 22 and safely out of the nest. I'm guessing he no longer has to endure eggs, toast, oatmeal, bacon/sausage, fruit, and a small vat of OJ these days, unless he wants to.
So I overdid it, but I'm not really sorry about it. Despite my gorging him each morning like I was fattening him for the slaughter, he was (and remains) rail-thin. The kid has the metabolism of a fucking humming bird.

I don't understand people who skip breakfast, even as kids. The first thing on my mind when I wake up is food.

I am like many others here. Can't eat anything solid after I awake. Strong coffee is enough.

Lazy parents. You mean to tell me that you can't boil some eggs for your kids for the week on a Sunday? Or fry some eggs that morning? You can't pop some wheat bread in the toaster and peel a grapefruit or an orange?
