Silly Creationist
RE: Silly Creationist
Good price on straw in bulk?
I am the Infantry. I am my country’s strength in war, her deterrent in peace. I am the heart of the fight… wherever, whenever. I carry America’s faith and honor against her enemies. I am the Queen of Battle. I am what my country expects me to be, the best trained Soldier in the world. In the race for victory, I am swift, determined, and courageous, armed with a fierce will to win. Never will I fail my country’s trust. Always I fight on…through the foe, to the objective, to triumph overall. If necessary, I will fight to my death. By my steadfast courage, I have won more than 200 years of freedom. I yield not to weakness, to hunger, to cowardice, to fatigue, to superior odds, For I am mentally tough, physically strong, and morally straight. I forsake not, my country, my mission, my comrades, my sacred duty. I am relentless. I am always there, now and forever. I AM THE INFANTRY! FOLLOW ME!

Well let's address your first point. Senses are not reliable? Then how do you know you read that book? Memory is not reliable either? How do you know you read that book? How do you know anything for that matter?

the reason for my argument based on senses as a WHOLE is very simple. Senses are subjective, VERY subjective . The psychic with all his senses believes he is speaking to the dead. The gambler with all his senses is sure that his next ticket is a winner. The healthy teenage girl who sees herself as fat and goes anorexic all are examples of our senses and our interpretation of them ( which is an automatic thing based on your views, beliefs etc)

With memory can you remember every meal you have had from your birth till today. I assume you cant. If i asked you to explain what happened at an event 2years ago , could you repeat it with enough certainty as to testify in court. again i assume not. so again not very reliable.

But anyway the discussion is sidetracked. what about my other points I made ?
Oh and why couldn't they exist in an "atheist" universe. Most of your points were human understand were they not ?
I used to live in a room full of mirrors; all I could see was me. I take my spirit and I crash my mirrors, now the whole world is here for me to see.

The assumption at this point is not whether he's lying or not, but simply what he's lying about.

Has anyone considered that his forum persona may be performance art?

You mean like pissing on a wall or sitting fire to a homeless person? Same level.

I may have remembered where I know Statler Waldorf from. Could it have been Rants n Raves that he polluted with his "performance art"/cretinist tripe?
They had negative reps there.... Big Grin

I've got to nitpick her Statller and repeat a sentiment I made in response to Ryft making a similar claim about things unaccounted for in the atheistic worldview. You are equating atheism with a cosmological ideology like Christianity. There may be many things I cannot explain in the cosmos, but the difference between you and I is that I don't consider the unexplainable as proof of God. Since I do not do that, the only thing I need to account for is my disbelief in what I see as man made Gods. Being an atheist does not mean that I have fully explained the cosmos naturally, nor does it require me to.

See why I don't waste any time on him?
So far, he's used a lot of special pleading and has made many attempts to redefine atheism. Seeing as atheism doesn't make any claim regarding the universe. It's only lack of belief in the existence of god or gods. Nothing else. Besides, his presupposition makes him completely ignorant.
That's why he's on my ignore list. Tongue
Extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidence - Carl Sagan

Mankind's intelligence walks hand in hand with it's stupidity.

Being an atheist says nothing about your overall intelligence, it just means you don't believe in god. Atheists can be as bright as any scientist and as stupid as any creationist.

You never really know just how stupid someone is, until you've argued with them.
