Well he calls the media "fake news" He's all but called his generals stupid. America's diplomats stupid. He has shown nothing but contempt for the intelligence community .a And essentially and made an inauguration speech calling all his predecessors morons. And has done as much as possible to Alienate congress. So why should we be surprised he hates the judicial branch too especially when they don't cater to his every whim.

Now let's see how long it takes before Mr Trump gets the judge fired, replaces him with someone corrupt, and gets to keep his ban rolling again.

The demeanor Trump has to bad news and how he approaches those that disagree with him is very concerning.

I really don't see how either of these two points follow, from the quote provided in the OP.
And that's before considering the the quote wasn't actually a quote from the solicitor general, it was a quote from a Federal judge from a previous case.
What I was saying was if he thinks he's above the law then that's the mindset of a dictator

Oh, he totally thinks he's above the law:
"The opinion of this so-called-judge, which essentially takes law-enforcement away from our country, is ridiculous and will be overturned!" - from Trump's Twitter account yesterday.

That's fair, and I get the sentiment.
There's a lot of examples of Trump behaving in an "I'm better, so I won't follow the rules" manner, which is similar to the I'm above the law mindset.

Where's our resident Trump loving fascists?
They usually eat up "portect our borders" shit no matter how illegally enacted.
A certain someone, I recall, was intent on driving home the point Mr. Trump is President (I would note that he is not a king or any other sovereign, just President).
I wonder how blatantly challenging judges on separation of powers is a good thing.

Edit Reason: replaced "ban" with "court order"

And since then Homeland security has complied with the court order, and the Administration has sought legal means in court to overturn the court ruling.
I get the point you are making. But I don't think this specific scenario does a very good job highlighting it.

The real test will be what if he loses in court or can't find a legal means to fight the overturn. Just how far is he willing to go to "Win".

I really hope he keeps head-butting that brick wall. The concussion might gift him with the spark of competence he so desperately lacks.

I'm fairly certain that the SCOTUS will support the EO.
Since the Repubs are in control they could simply write all of the provisions of the EOs into law.
