What makes your faith true?
RE: What makes your faith true?
Through the sorrow all through our splendour
Don't take offence at my innuendo
At the age of five, Skagra decided emphatically that God did not exist.  This revelation tends to make most people in the universe who have it react in one of two ways - with relief or with despair.  Only Skagra responded to it by thinking, 'Wait a second.  That means there's a situation vacant.'

Citation required. An actual scientific one, not AiG.

Quote:Just because we share like genes that doesn't mean revolutions true.

You can't even spell evolution let alone understand it.
We share the exact same genetic code as all life on earth. Do you have a credible, evidence-based alternative?

Quote:Again there is no proof of evolution no matter what you call evidence.

Willful ignorance.

Quote:Now you are dictating what I can use for evidence while you claim the right to use what ever junk you want, actually you've shown no evidence you're just running off at the mouth.

You have not now, nor have you ever, provided any evidence.

Evidence is required to be objective. You really don't understand that, do you.
Skepticism is not a position; it is an approach to claims.
Science is not a subject, but a method.

I did not know that about them but, they took the KJV and rewrote it to suit their desires. Apparently the did not like what God had to say so they changed it. They are considered a cult by most denominations and not a part of God's church.

After all that we discussed and this little bit of trash is all you wanted to say, absolutely amazing how small you are thinking. It shows me you were not interested in learning about what Christians believe you were only looking for another chance to mock Christianity.
You say I must not know the scriptures because I refuse to interpret a few passages and I did not because like others I saw your plan. Well you thought you were going to pull a fast one on me by insinuating that the Bible teaches we should seek wealth, googling up a few verses on the net showed your complete lack of biblical understanding on the subject. You were shown the truth of those verses through the use of biblical scriptures that were right under your nose, you fell into the trap so many do believing you have come up with some new idea of what the Bible considers okay, just like another pair in a different thread. You and them are blind biblically, people for a few thousand years have tried to do the same so you are not going to find anything that hasn't already been covered. You were shown the truth of those verses and you didn't even address them in your latest post, you ran from them like a frightened puppy. There's no need in replying to this post if you're looking for me to either read it or reply to it, l'm just not interested in hearing the same old tired crap that atheist use, nothing new at all, most of you sound like a broken record.

Pot, meet kettle.  As if the KJV was ever "god"s word.  You do know that the J doesn't stand for Jesus....right?

The KJV is as much God's word as anyother translation, we have better understanding of ancient Hebrew and Greek so the newer translations give us more exact wording.

It's interesting how all of that "better understanding" allows translators to identify and refine those portions of scripture which can be made to more closely conform to the current beliefs of whatever sectarian vision authorizes it, isn't it?

I guess that's just another mystery of faith, god working in the world type stuff.

Maybe constantly re-editing "god's word" keeps them busy enough to where they don't have time to sit back and see what an exercise in religious masturbation it is.
