To not belief God exists is to believe God does not exist. There is no difference.
To lack belief is agnosticism.

Here we go again ...
Rubbish. To fail to identify with a theistic viewpoint is atheism.
Lacking belief is a claim you are not sure either way - agnosticism.

There are plenty of dead gods, like Zeus, Ra, Odin, etc which aren't worshiped any more. We haven't even found any evidence of a live god, let alone a dead one. And I could just say that a unicorn is a magical creature which doesn't leave a fossil. Or I could say, "Have you been to every planet in the universe? So how do you know there are no unicorn fossils anywhere?"

Sorry to anyone that this confuses, but I just merged two threads on the same topic. You can still find all the posts in both here.
Envolve, try to refrain from posting to threads on the exact same topic.
Do you have any scripture that you would like us to consider? Get it out of your system and move along.
I am the Infantry. I am my country’s strength in war, her deterrent in peace. I am the heart of the fight… wherever, whenever. I carry America’s faith and honor against her enemies. I am the Queen of Battle. I am what my country expects me to be, the best trained Soldier in the world. In the race for victory, I am swift, determined, and courageous, armed with a fierce will to win. Never will I fail my country’s trust. Always I fight on…through the foe, to the objective, to triumph overall. If necessary, I will fight to my death. By my steadfast courage, I have won more than 200 years of freedom. I yield not to weakness, to hunger, to cowardice, to fatigue, to superior odds, For I am mentally tough, physically strong, and morally straight. I forsake not, my country, my mission, my comrades, my sacred duty. I am relentless. I am always there, now and forever. I AM THE INFANTRY! FOLLOW ME!

And whether self-proclaimed agnostics want to believe it or not, they are atheists if they don't believe in a god of some sort.
