10 Questions Biblical Literalists Cannot Honestly Answer

RE: 10 Questions Biblical Literalists Cannot Honestly Answer
Why was it necessary to have a sacrifice at all?
At the age of five, Skagra decided emphatically that God did not exist.  This revelation tends to make most people in the universe who have it react in one of two ways - with relief or with despair.  Only Skagra responded to it by thinking, 'Wait a second.  That means there's a situation vacant.'

Theologically, there was no necessity.  Could could have ordered Abraham to wear polyblend clothes or whatever other nutter thing abraham is supposed to have believed in.  Anything deemed sufficiently negative would have have been adequate to narrate the faithful obediance of the legendary original jew.  Plenty of other objects and acts are used as examples in it's contemporary obedience plays.

That's what makes it even shittier.  God could have told abraham to do any number of things in order to instigate the dilemma..that would have rubbed up against his moral code....but he told him to kill his son. This shows either laziness in the case of the author, or convenience to tradition in the case of the audience. The narrative is not nearly as complicated as many other narratives are..despite incredible room for artistic license.
I am the Infantry. I am my country’s strength in war, her deterrent in peace. I am the heart of the fight… wherever, whenever. I carry America’s faith and honor against her enemies. I am the Queen of Battle. I am what my country expects me to be, the best trained Soldier in the world. In the race for victory, I am swift, determined, and courageous, armed with a fierce will to win. Never will I fail my country’s trust. Always I fight on…through the foe, to the objective, to triumph overall. If necessary, I will fight to my death. By my steadfast courage, I have won more than 200 years of freedom. I yield not to weakness, to hunger, to cowardice, to fatigue, to superior odds, For I am mentally tough, physically strong, and morally straight. I forsake not, my country, my mission, my comrades, my sacred duty. I am relentless. I am always there, now and forever. I AM THE INFANTRY! FOLLOW ME!

It always comes to the banana hanging from the ceiling of the cage, don't it ??

What's the point of the tests?

The follower learns from it, whether they pass or fail. If they pass, it's opportunity for god to give rewards. People like to feel that they've earned something, and while they can't earn salvation, they can earn rewards.

He puts a treat on their nose. "You were gonna kill your kid like a good boy, you're such a good boy, now roll over". -Even my dog knows better.

It adds gravitas, establishes sincerity and -you know- it's tradition!

You beat me to the punchline with this test of faith malarkey. The problem of omniscience sends the theists into a flat spin, they know they can't address it so they either lie, or ignore it. In the beginning...
Why did god get all so bent out of shape when he copped A&E chomping on the magic apple? He knew the end result before he created them, and least we forget, omnipresence. Not only did he know what they would do, he watched them do it! What the fuck?
alpha male; could you address this please.
It's amazing 'science' always seems to 'find' whatever it is funded for, and never the oppsite. Drich.

He would also know prior to (or even without !!) the death of Jesus on the cross (either time) which of all future human beings who would or wouldn't nevertheless profess their belief and achieve Salvation®.
