Charities are in existence and that still happens. Doesn't seem like charities are the solution.
I think a strong argument can be made that charities are not sufficient to solve the problem. Do you have ideas on what might work?

I really don't see what the fuck the point is of saying god has to be omni-anything. That just seems like protesting too much and fails at every turn anyway. Is there just a fear of insulting him by saying he's any less than that? Because I've never understood how anyone can possibly feel love for that monster, especially if they willingly acknowledge that they're also supposed to fear it, which not everyone is willing to do.
Religions were invented to impress and dupe illiterate, superstitious stone-age peasants. So in this modern, enlightened age of information, what's your excuse? Or are you saying with all your advantages, you were still tricked as easily as those early humans?

I used to be president of a dog rescue here in Arizona and am still deeply involved. We usually manage to to hit 80% of our expenses for rescuing dogs or paying their vet bills. No one gets paid a nickle . But then, dogs are so much nicer than people.

Given the way they are allowed to operate, it's almost laughable to call it a charity if it's religious in nature.

Oh, wait. This will blow your mind. What Aliza referred to, the F. 990 for non-profits? Churches are exempt from filing even that. You want to talk about a big door opening for criminals, start there. Nothing more crooked than someone with "god" on his fucking lips.

As a religious person, I can't really speak to that. -I mean, I know it happens, and I know it happens within my own religion, but I wouldn't put my money into some black hole like that. I may be guilty of being a little too lazy to look when the dollar amount is small, but if I'm not allowed to see the budget, then they're not getting a dime from me.
