But you're going to sit here and pretend the Bible says no such thing. how about you provide scripture that supports your theory that those prophecies were suppose to be completed during his first coming.

What you said was those prophecies were supposed to be fulfilled 2000 years ago which would be during his first coming...
If Jesus were to have completed everything during his firs coming then the Gentiles would have no chance. Did not Jesus state to the Jews that he had sheep that weren't of that flock?
Quote:John 10:16
And other sheep I have, which are not of this fold: them also I must bring, and they shall hear my voice; and there shall be one fold, and one shepherd.
The OP made mention of that scripture:

However, after two thousand years we have over 40 000 separate Christian denominations. That hardly sounds like one fold and one shepherd.
*emphasis mine*
But due to his ignorance (not to mention taking the quote out of context) he doesn't realize that Jesus isn't referring to Christian denominations he is referring to Jew and Gentile being of one flock, where as previously the Jews didn't associate with Gentiles, which is why it was seen as controversial when Paul met with Gentiles.
Hence why the Bible states the Messiah would "be cut off, BUT NOT FOR HIMSELF"... but for the sake of the Gentiles.

Fine, 1700 to 1900 years ago, happy? Face it, your fantasy has lots of glaring faults.
Being told you're delusional does not necessarily mean you're mental.
Quote:Little children, it is the last time: and as ye have heard that antichrist shall come, even now are there many antichrists; whereby we know that it is the last time.
-and yet a few short centuries later, just a hop and a skip away - Yahweh calls up his new BFF Mo.
The guy's wishy washy.

Nice edit: it says "last hour" from the site link. In fact most bible text says last hour or end time. So, it's changed in yours to "last time" because the prediction didn't happen and the writers had to scramble a correction. : http://biblehub.com/1_john/2-18.htm
So, "last hour" or "end time" is the most sited. But wait, maybe "hour" and "end" as a measure of time meant something different back then, like thousands of years. Or maybe the word of god need to be changed to an ambiguous "time" so that man could understand better cause an all knowing god just don't communicate to well. Naughty naughty men changing gods holy words. Then, it never really was much of a god.

For Christians prophecies were always unimportant technicalities because then even their Jesus would be fake messiah considering that OT prophecies of the messiah's arrival would usher in: the end of sin, the end of suffering, peace and tranquility, one creed and one religion, the resurrection of the dead, the gathering of the ten tribes under a Davidic king, building of the future temple etc. none of that happened and yet do I need to remind you how many people, including yourself, think this Jesus was indeed messiah prophesied by OT.
Why do you guys insists on proclaiming your ignorance when it comes to scripture?
Quote:Daniel 9
25 Know therefore and understand, that from the going forth of the commandment to restore and to build Jerusalem unto the Messiah the Prince shall be seven weeks, and threescore and two weeks: the street shall be built again, and the wall, even in troublous times.
26 And after threescore and two weeks shall Messiah be cut off, but not for himself: and the people of the prince that shall come shall destroy the city and the sanctuary; and the end thereof shall be with a flood, and unto the end of the war desolations are determined.
The scripture clearly states the Messiah would be cut off, this means those prophecies you mentioned have still yet to be completed, which will happen during his second coming.
According to the Jewish Babylonian Talmud the Jews themselves are the Messiah.
