Isn't it funny...

What do you mean Vor?
"Of course, everyone will claim they respect someone who tries to speak the truth, but in reality, this is a rare quality. Most respect those who speak truths they agree with, and their respect for the speaking only extends as far as their realm of personal agreement. It is less common, almost to the point of becoming a saintly virtue, that someone truly respects and loves the truth seeker, even when their conclusions differ wildly."

That laryngeal nerve tho, C_L. And the coccyx. And the appendix. And the upside down cornea.

If god guided evolution, he certainly made some careless mistakes.
"There remain four irreducible objections to religious faith: that it wholly misrepresents the origins of man and the cosmos, that because of this original error it manages to combine the maximum servility with the maximum of solipsism, that it is both the result and the cause of dangerous sexual repression, and that it is ultimately grounded on wish-thinking." ~Christopher Hitchens, god is not Great

If evolution is God ordained, seems like a 'heads up' on the topic might have found it's way into Scripture.

(IOW, I am again concerned about your possibility of Salvation given your tendency towards subtle heresy)

I don't really see why it would be necessary to talk about evolution in the bible. Evolution is a science thing, not a theology thing.

Why does the bible talk about

Quote:Happy shall he be, that taketh and dasheth thy little ones against the stones.

Ps. 137.9

is that a theology thingy?

But it is how God did it. And therefore misstating His actions is, by definition, heresy.

At one time your church leaders were rather touchy on that issue. Nothing says they won't be again someday.

Be a shame for your efforts here to result in some unpleasantries in a potential 'back to basics' revival in your denomination.

I don't think details of HOW God did it is a theological matter. Only that we believe He was behind creation.

Quote:[*]… that every person is born with a built-in knowledge that actions such as murder, suicide, theft, and deceit are wrong, without ever having to learn about this in school?

[*]No we don't . We have some evolved instincts like empathy but nothing this specific .
