Originally it was police shootings of blacks. Solid proposals could include civilian oversight boards or increased hiring of blacks as police.

Indeed if we took Beta's model there would never be any grass roots movements . Grass roots are messy disorganized cluster ducks . And organically form as time goes on and attention is gained .

First - WTF, we're not talking about BLM, we're talking about what NFL players could be talking about now that they have the spotlight they wanted.

Second - grass roots movements can grow up and form hierarchies if that's what they need to do in order to effect change - especially if NFL players give them a few million $ to get started.

The Boston Tea Party had as its specific goal the removal of the Tea Act. Tea Act - dump the taxed tea - the connection was pretty clear.
