God loves those who believe and those who do not and the same goes for me, you have no choice in this matter. That puts the matter of total free will to rest.
Maintaining the nomenclature of "Father and Son" is appropriate for an entity that manifests itself as entirely whole in 3 distinct forms still isn't established as 'correct and true' to me yet. The pervading sense I garner is retconning, and retconning that was done unnecessarily and confusingly to boot.
Retconning is done to straighten out hinky plot points, here it seems to have created a far greater mess than could have possibly existed to begin with. The granting of a pardon is an imputation of guilt, and the acceptance a confession of it.
