I smell a moment of self awareness. Did it occur to you, at least for a moment, why defunding public programs was a bad idea?

It's socialized protection. Your taxes are not enough to maintain a police department by yourself. And investigations etc get expensive. Same with roads. The thousands of dollars per year you pay would, if devoted to road-building, would get you a few hundred feet of four-lane highway. That's socialism.
