Hmmm .. I wonder if a halo would give enough friction to do the job, let alone be large enough. Wink

So now that years have passed for me since reading randomly throughout bibles and littles bits here and there of church, I feel like I'm in a place to better understand the bible, and actually read the damn thing.  I want to read it.  Problem is, which one!!!!!!!!

BIG QUESTION:  Which bible is the one that hasn't been completely jacked with.  I'd rather go all original (obviously I know it's not original, but ya know) but there are waaaay too many.  I've even tried to research it and can't come up with which one.  I'd appreciate any help if possible!

Many Mahalos!

There was a very good translation of the Book of Brutha  done about 20 years ago by a Terry Pratchett. Small Gods, I believe. You should search it out.

Edit: Damn you thread necromancy! Behind door handles you're my worst nemesis.

Step 1.  Become fluent in Koine Greek and Aramaic.  A smattering of Latin and Hebrew would also help.

Step 2.  Build a time machine.

The obvious problem with Step #1 is that you can only read what has survived.  We know this happy horseshit went through extensive editing before it was ever incorporated into any sort of "bible" so what exactly would you be reading?  Greek, Latin or Sanskrit, it doesn't matter if the source material is unreliable.

That's what Step #2 is for  -  time it right and you can look over the shoulders of the original scribes.

Step #3. You get to interpret any way you want and make up your own happy horse shit.

Some dead jew coming back to life is child's play compared to building a time machine.
