It's not deleted, we just removed public access to it.
At the age of five, Skagra decided emphatically that God did not exist. This revelation tends to make most people in the universe who have it react in one of two ways - with relief or with despair. Only Skagra responded to it by thinking, 'Wait a second. That means there's a situation vacant.'

So do I. I have been considering it for 'the other place'.
Benefits:
1. Quarantine (1) - containing the theist-virus is the first step to ensuring it does not infect purer minds.
2. Quarantine (2) - following containment, anti-virus measures can be taken to eradicate the threat.
3. Carnival Show - The non-infected will know where to go for entertainment; to watch the outcasts perform their mind-acrobatics and their perverted acts of repressed sexuality; to throw food through the bars of the cage. I'm considering charging for tickets.
4. Thunderdome - given the propensity for blood-lust, the inhabitants can indulge in inter-denomination warfare and we will finally find out who has the winning theology.

I believe it is of great value because it is only on an atheist forum that we can have a true and frank discussion of xtian and other religious issues. As atheists on xtian forums we do not have complete freedom to post challenging and possibly controversial views. We are likely to be suspended or banned. Some xtian forums even default to limiting where non xtians can post from when you first create and account and declare that you are a non xtian.
So in the interests of open and fair speech (but not harmful speech as this is unethical) I would support having a xtian section in atheist forums.
Erm.... not to sound condescending or anything, but this forum has been in existence since 2008 and if you look closely, you'll see we have a subforum called Christianity. That's a pretty popular subforum as far as post count goes and all.

I suggest that if it was not known that Christopher Hitchens said "Religion poisons everything" and I had created a thread with said title, that, due to the xtian bleating to the mods, it would either be modified or disappear altogether.
A bit disingenuous aren't you? Read the prime directive. Your speech remains free for reason and discussion on any topic, you just dont get to start a thread with downright slander. I know many christians that are kind good people and the only way I know they are, its because I saw them going to church one day.
You are just butthurt because you got the short end of the stick. Consider it an oportunity for learning. Should you not, well, you know what will come.

If this is you whining about your thread that violated rules being removed, it wasn’t a Christian that reported you. It was me. I’m an atheist last I heard.

And Imagine that.... this post is in the Christianity subforum. So what was the point of this thread again?

The xtian sites I've visited smugly lord it over anyone who doesn't kowtow to their worldview. I'd prefer this place not be like those. Anyone who wants that is free to start their own website and, please, take as many intolerant and abusive assholes with them as possible.

That's a fairly fine distinction.
