God exists irrefutably because our perception of reality has severe limitations (due to our blind hotch potch evolutionary path)
Actually, I'm amazed that we have the capacity to even think of half the shit we come up with ... Anyway, some good, some bad... And since perception is reality, abominable concepts like an overseeing cosmic dictator arise... Quite natural and expected really.....
No God, No fear.

There also also different thresholds of proof:
These lists result in 16 different combinations alone (and I'm sure I missed some). In my experience, a discussion like the one you are intending is a long series of shifting the goal post until you arrive at demanding something akin to absolute certainty resulting from scientific proof for a specific belief. The problem is that this is not the standard necessary for a rational belief. Another point, atheist constantly miss the fact that religious belief is due to a cumulative set of reasons to believe--all with their own kind/threshold of proof needed for that particular individual. So, to simply demand "proof" is insufficient. What kind, what threshold, single issue or cumulative, and to what end? I speak for myself, I don't care about your god or your belief in it. As long as your religion doesn't inform your decisions voting against people's rights. As to the rest, my whole family is religious. Sure, I butt my head with them, amicably, as none are fanatics. RE: Proof that God exists

Today is the best day of my life and tomorrow will be even better.
Here's your God proof:
The granting of a pardon is an imputation of guilt, and the acceptance a confession of it.

"Of course, everyone will claim they respect someone who tries to speak the truth, but in reality, this is a rare quality. Most respect those who speak truths they agree with, and their respect for the speaking only extends as far as their realm of personal agreement. It is less common, almost to the point of becoming a saintly virtue, that someone truly respects and loves the truth seeker, even when their conclusions differ wildly."

why prove that God exists?
if someone believes why he needs proof ...? if someone doesn't believe all the more why he needs proof..? because faith according to the dictionary is nothing more than ... Quote:Believe comes from old German words meaning to have trust. Belief doesn’t require proof, just acceptance. If you’re on a jury and the prosecution and defense present two different versions of what happened, you have to decide which side you believe. To believe can also mean having confidence. If you believe in me, it doesn’t mean that you think I’m real (unless I’m a ghost). It means you think I can do what I set out to do. So if you believe something, you think it's true..if you're easily duped you can believe your little sister when she says a thief broke into a house and ate all your sweets.. Really.... no one needs proof
"Alone is what I have. Alone protects me."
“I may be on the side of the angels but don’t think for one second that I am one of them.” “The important thing is not to stop questioning. Curiosity has its own reason for existence. One cannot help but be in awe when he contemplates the mysteries of eternity, of life, of the marvelous structure of reality. It is enough if one tries merely to comprehend a little of this mystery each day." |
