Except for the ones that die young, and in pain, despite being a christian with christian family members?
Being a Christian doesn't remove you from the human experience, it trains you to deal with it in the right way.

Your telling me "God is great!" isn't going to convince me that God exists. It's just not my thing. If it's yours great! I believe in science and the natural world. I do not believe in God, I think it's a preposterous belief.

I have never not believed in God, so I can't identify with you there, but I have tested God on many occasions to see if he would communicate or react to my requests. I have been elated many times with the results. Only a few professed believers practice actual communication with God. In ancient Israel that ratio was at one time 1:32,000.

I have believed in God, for about 5 minutes. It felt good. I remember it well. I just don't believe it. It's not plausible to me.

I don't believe you have communicated with God, and believe there is a logical explanation, but it doesn't matter what I think about that. I think that's great that you have that feeling because it is a good one.

Yeah, but the statement doesn't make sense. Sometimes believers can't take what life throws at them, so that does it even mean to say he never gives you a challenge you can't handle?

My honest opinion is that Starhunter is seriously fucked in the head. Lel 7th day adventist. Tells you all you need to know.

Well one of those examples on the ambiguity given by religion. Is he a true believer or a mental patient hiding under a mainstream fantasy?

It counts on two things, that the human mind is the ultimate criterion for knowledge and understanding, and that society will determine what clear thinking is.
It also finishes beautifuly with the ideaology of the "collective future."

Wow, thanks for that, I'll be sharing it right away with people who know what the future holds.

So than people shouldn't think for themselfs?
No it is not the greatest criterion , it is the criterion that we have. Why do you think science ocured ? Because sometime our logic fails , and we need evidence before making statements , one of the best exampels for this is " Homosexuality is a choice " a false statement wich caused a lot of hatred and suffering.
No , society doesn't decide what clear thinking is , if it where that way you will be still hunting with a stick. Society is the impediment actually.
" colective future " - you know that our future is our top priority no?

That's right, according to my experience, only the stones with gems in them are put to the grinder. That's all of us.
But I assume you are like me, that it is more difficult to cope with the knowledge of other people suffering, especially loved ones.

I know you care, but what if, after all is settled and renewed, someone ruins it all again? because the caring people can't be around forever in this world.

Maybe someone will come and ruin it but all I can do is trust the human species , it is all we can do.
Caring people will be around forever because of emphaty.

That doesn't make things more clear.
