We only has about two weeks of winter weather in Alabama this past year. And I doubt this winter is going to be much longer.
Though I'll admit this next week is going to be bad. Lows in the low twenties, and highs barely breaking forty at best. Next Friday is barely going to be above freezing all day..... 
Yeah forget the fact that on the east coast September was basically a second August.
Yeah, it doesn't even start to get cold until about November. September still feels like Summer.
Finally got cool here in Arizona in December. About a month later than normal.
